FAQ & shipping
What is decided, what remains in development and what we will confirm before launch.
- What exactly is Edition 001?
- A place to begin with Schopenhauer’s actual writing: twelve substantial selections from three works, arranged into one 128-page reading path.
- Is this a new translation?
- No. The translators and source location for each selection are identified in the book.
- Why does this differ from an inexpensive public-domain reprint?
- It solves the selection problem and the translation-friction problem. The Saunders translation is lightly modernized for clarity, while Schopenhauer’s severity and unfashionable judgments remain intact.
- What is the physical format?
- A 5.5 × 8.5 inch hardcover, currently 128 pages. Final material specifications will be confirmed after the Lulu proof.
- When will it ship?
- Shipping is calculated at checkout. Each copy is printed to order; estimated delivery is shown at checkout.
- What happens if a copy arrives damaged?
- Damaged or defective copies will be replaced. Contact hello@secondpassagepress.com with any order issue.
- Is Edition 001 available now?
- Yes. Edition 001 is available through the secure Shopify checkout for $39.99.
